My Best Education ("we", "us") helps students and parents with career counselling and admission guidance. This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, how long we keep it and how you can use your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025. For this data, we are the Data Fiduciary.
What we collect
- When you send an enquiry: your name and mobile number (required); and if you choose to give them, your email, city, current class or stage, the course, college or career you are interested in, how you prefer to be contacted, and your message.
- Who filled the form: whether you are a student aged 18 or older, or a parent/guardian.
- Your consent record: the consent you gave, the version of this notice you saw, and the date and time.
- Technical data: the page you enquired from, the website or ad that brought you here (for example a Google search or an ad campaign name), and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address used only to stop spam. We do not store your raw IP address.
Browsing the website does not require any personal details.
Why we use it
- To call, WhatsApp, SMS or email you about the counselling or admission enquiry you sent.
- Only if you separately tick the optional box: to send you admission updates, deadlines and offers. You can stop these at any time.
- To keep our records accurate, prevent spam and misuse, and meet legal requirements.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who can see it
Only our authorised counsellors and staff, each with access limited to their role. Our service providers (website hosting and email delivery) process data on our behalf under our instructions. We will not pass your details to any college, university or other organisation without asking you first.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them automatically, unless a law requires us to keep them longer. If you withdraw consent or ask us to delete your data, we delete it sooner.
Students under 18
If the student is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must fill the enquiry form and give consent. Our counsellor will confirm with the parent or guardian before giving any guidance. We do not track, behaviourally monitor or target advertising at children.
Your rights
- Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. We will stop contacting you.
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct or update your details.
- Erase your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.
- Raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-protected and role-based staff access, activity logs and regular backups. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Cookies and analytics
We use one essential cookie to keep the enquiry form secure. If enabled, Google Analytics measures visits in aggregate to help us improve the website.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top. Material changes will apply only to data collected after the change, unless you agree otherwise.
